Description
Two alligators meet face-to-face in shallow murky water, their scales rendered in rich browns and purples with touches of golden yellow along their jaws and underbellies. The composition captures an intimate moment suspended in a hazy green wetland, painted with soft watercolor washes that blur the boundary between the reptiles and their swampy habitat. At home in a naturalist's study or a room celebrating wildlife and wild places. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
